We arrived in Peru in 2013 and began operations with one of the largest and most stable economic groups in the country, which had over 50 years’ experience mostly in the construction sector and which entered the property development sector along with us that same year.
We have continued working together with this partner but have also initiated operations independently, using the local knowledge that Grupo Lar has acquired. Given the growth potential of the property sector calculated this year at 5.7% and a potential increase in price levels of 4% per annum, Peru has become an important destination for Grupo Lar investments.
The Group currently has potential sales of 4,000 units distributed between six projects targeted at socio-economic sectors B and AB, not including the 405 units which will have been handed over in 2017 and 2018. This positions us among the top five property companies in the districts in which we currently operate.
Furthermore, due to the performance of the market in the last two years and the growth outlook of the country, we are currently analysing four possible developments with a sales potential of 3,100 additional units, which would strengthen our position in the country and quickly position us as a market leader. We are currently carrying out operations financed by the two major banks in the country.
