An important country within the Grupo Lar growth strategy is Brazil, where we have been established since 2010 in the city of São Paulo. The company operates in carefully selected areas, beginning its activity in the interior of the state and preparing to expand development throughout the São Paulo metropolitan region, exclusively in the residential sector.
According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, 35% of Brazilians are between 20 and 40 years of age, accounting for 39 million people who are potential purchasers of homes and our main target market. We are strategically focusing on the development of middle-income homes, a segment in which the majority of people are buying their first home, mitigating the effect of speculative buyers. Another advantage of the middle-income segment is easily available finance from private and public entities integrated into the Brazilian Savings and Loan System, whose funds are obtained from savings account funds.
Despite the Brazilian property sector being significantly affected by the recent economic crisis, Brazil is still a significant market in the Grupo Lar strategy for Latin America, where it endeavours to expand its services year by year. To this effect, Grupo Lar pursues a sustainable growth strategy, constantly seeking suitable land and alliances to attain its goal.
